RHS Staff Recollection Day 2023-24
27 March 2024 was the annual Staff
Recollection Day. All staff gathered in the school hall and spent a meaning
morning in releasing negative thoughts, relieving stress, and regenerating
positive energy.
It was the school’s honour to have
Most Reverend Joseph Ha Chi-Shing, OFM, Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong, as
the spiritual director of this recollection, and members of the Catholic
Education Office to accompany and do sharing with our staff.
The Staff Recollection Day includes
video viewing and sharing of thoughts related to overcoming adversities and
hope, particularly by posting them on the feeling and wish boards. The day was
highlighted with the ceremony of ‘Undoing Knots with Our Lady, the Holy Mary’.
Inspired by the devotion to Our Lady, RHS staff sought guidance in unravelling
the complexities of their lives and work. Through prayers, reflections and
sharing, they explored the knots that entangled their hearts and
minds—challenges, uncertainties, and obstacles, then offered to Our Lady of
Undoer of Knots to undo all of them.
The programme ended with Bishop Ha’s prayer to our Lord, in the hope of inner peace and strengthening of faith.
